To celebrate the city in which it was born and now thrives, with two stores, Ace Jewelers has partnered with NOMOS Glashütte for a second time. This time, Ace has modified the design of the Club Campus Nacht to create the limited-edition Club Campus Amsterdam, with 75 pieces for the world.
The NOMOS Club Campus Amsterdam, powered by NOMOS’ hand-wound Alpha movement, comes in a 38.5mm stainless steel case. The anthracite dial features a contrasting silver sub dial for the seconds at 6:00. The hour markers are done in red with a white outline, and the seconds hand is done in matching red, colors inspired by the iconic flag of Amsterdam, and as a subtle reminder, the crown is signed with the three Amsterdam crosses rather than the regular NOMOS.
“I’m in love with NOMOS for a number of reasons,” says Alon Ben Joseph, CEO of Ace Jewelers. “First of all, I simply love their clean-cut watches and the value-for-money they provide. Then, the company is incredibly well-rounded. From design and marketing to manufacturing of cases, movements, dials and hands – most of it is done in-house in either Berlin or Glashütte. And, last but not least, the people behind the brand are a joy to work with. We introduced our first limited edition with NOMOS last year and we were blown away by the love and positive responses we received. When we were presented with the opportunity to do another one, we grabbed it with both hands. It is such an honor to be allowed to take part in the design of a watch.”
Ace Jewelers was founded in Amsterdam in 1975 by David Ben Joseph, Alon’s father, and the time was right to pay homage to the city the Ben Joseph family calls home.
“I love Amsterdam and never miss an opportunity to visit this beautiful city,” says Rob Nudds, overseas account manager of NOMOS. “Of course, I got very excited when Ace approached us with this idea for their second limited edition! It’s the first time we did one based on the Club Campus and I think the result is just stellar.”
