Well this is news that came out of the blue! With the fantastic job that he has been doing ever since he took over as CEO of Zenith, perhaps it should not have come as a surprise that this would happen. As of today, Jean-Frédéric Dufour has been appointed Global CEO of Rolex.
Having been an industry veteran who has worked at brands such as Chopard and Blancpain, it was his appointment to the CEO office at Zenith in 2009 that largely showcased his singular vision and understanding of what it would take for a brand to succeed. The reinvigoration of Zenith has certainly impressed watch industry observers, and one wonders how the brand would continue to evolve under his leadership. Now, such speculation is moot, and we at Revolution certainly will look forward to see what he can do with Rolex, the most famous and storied Swiss brand on the planet.
