BREAKING: Vacheron Constantin Announce Their New CEO

Share
After the news of Vacheron Constantin’s Juan Carlos Torres’ departure on Tuesday, 31 January 2017 the maison has just announced the name of their new incoming CEO… and a little more.

First things first, the role of CEO has been appointed to Louis Ferla, who is presently the company’s Managing Director of Sales & Marketing. He will be taking up office as of the 1st of April 2017.

Louis has been with the maison only as of 2016, but his time within Richemont dates further back to 2001. Some of his key roles within that time include: Area Sales Manager with Alfred Dunhill in Hong Kong and General Manager in Taiwan, in his earliest years. In 2006, he was appointed General Manager Taiwan for Cartier International, before taking charge of the Middle East region and India as Regional Director, and becoming CEO for China. In 2015, he served as International Business & Client Development Director of Cartier International before moving to Vacheron Constantin in 2016.

As for the outgoing Juan Carlos Torres, it turns out that he isn’t going too far off after all. Within the same announcement, it is stated that he will, in fact, continue to serve the company in the capacity of a non-executive President.

The wisdom behind such a decision self-evident. Juan Carlos Torres has served Vacheron Constantin as CEO since 2005, but his time with the brand dates all the way back to 1981. That’s a tenure of 36 long years. No doubt, his insight and guidance will continue to prove invaluable for the new CEO and, as well, the company on a whole, as it braces itself to take on a world of new challenges.

To both gentlemen, our congratulations and best wishes as they lead on Vacheron Constantin’s heritage and innovations into the next generation.
