Following on from last year’s inaugural Bremont Townhouse concept, this week will see Bremont eschew Baselworld once again and launch its new collection on home turf at 2018’s instalment of the London pop-up.

Taking a new address, One Horse Guards in Westminster, the weeklong event will play host to Bremont’s partners, ambassadors, friends of the brand, journalists and watch-keen members of the public. In terms of product, the most notable launch is arguably the 300-piece limited edition Endurance – produced in partnership with polar explorer Ben Saunders for his November 2017 solo, unsupported Antarctic expedition. The expedition saw Saunders ski 1,086km over 52 days to the South Pole, making him the third person to have completed full solo-ski expeditions in both Poles.

The Bremont Endurance builds on the success of 2014’s Terra Nova, also made with Saunders but for an earlier polar jaunt, and features date and GMT complications alongside a bi-directional bezel with cardinal direction markers and an exhibition caseback. Saunders says of the watch: “I wore a prototype of the new Limited Edition Endurance during my Trans-Antarctic Solo Expedition. A reliable timepiece is a vital piece of equipment on a polar expedition, and this new watch performed faultlessly on some of the toughest conditions I’ve ever encountered.”

This year will also see Bremont take its Townhouse concept on the road, hosting a second pop-up Townhouse in New York at 214 Lafayette Street the week after London’s.
