Bulgari Celebrates New 5th Avenue Flagship

Last week, Bulgari officially opened its new 5th Avenue Flagship Boutique in New York City with a cocktail party and trip to Met Cloisters, the branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicated to the art and architecture of medieval Europe, for a dinner hosted by Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.

The evening kicked off with a champagne reception to revel the newly designed boutique, developed by renowned architect Peter Marino. Providing the entertainment? Actress and DJ Ruby Rose.

At the Met Cloisters, more performances followed, a dance by Lil Buck performed in the courtyard followed by an acoustic performance in the Museum’s Fuentidueña Chapel by pop star Demi Lovato.

The new flagship store is inspired by the timeless and contemporary vision of Rome. The 4,000 square-foot boutique is designed to recall Bulgari’s Roman roots while keeping a balance between ancient and new, tradition, innovation and eclecticism. Marino’s concept comes to life through combinations of precious materials, including fine marble, luxury silk and velvet in the décor and furniture, which features a careful selection of product counters inspired by Carlo Scarpa, sales tables retelling Franco Albini and Ico Parisi and a sofa referencing Osvaldo Borsani.

The watch to help celebrate this great new flagship is based on none other than the record breaking Octo Finissimo Automatic (named the world’s thinnest automatic), the Limited Edition Octo Finissimo 5th Avenue. This new 15-piece limited edition celebrates the connection between Bulgari and New York City, 47 years after the arrival of Nicola Bulgari. Retail price: $14,900.
