Carl F. Bucherer in Hollywood

Swiss watch manufacturer Carl F. Bucherer went back to Hollywood, to host the premier of the modern-noir action film John Wick: Chapter 2, starring Keanu Reeves, rapper and musician Common (and CFB’s watches, of course), and directed by the brand’s ambassador Chad Stahelski.

Held at the Arclight Theatre in LA on the 30th of January, the cast of the film rocked the red carpet wearing some of CFB’s exceptional timepieces. Stahelski donned a Patravi TravelTec in rose gold for the occasion, while Reeves wore a Patravi TravelTec II in steel with black dial. On the other hand Common opted for a more classical watch and wore the Manero PowerReserve. The premiere was also attended by co-stars Ruby Rose, Ian McShane, Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo and Laurence Fishburne. The event was full of A-list artists like Swiss actor, stuntman and CFB ambassador Daniel Bernhardt, Sofia Milos, special guest Joe Mantegna, alongside CFB’s CEO Sascha Moeri (wearing a Patravi TravelTec Black).

“I couldn’t be more proud: our handcrafted fine timepieces are featured on the wrist of Keanu Reeves and throughout the movie John Wick: Chapter 2,” said Moeri. “And tonight we were here to celebrate the premiere of this action movie as well as the director and brand ambassador Chad Stahelski. A truly amazing collaboration!”

This was the brand’s second appearance in the John Wick franchise. Stahelski said: “In my line of work, wardrobe and accessories have to stand up to the physical challenges that actors and stunt people face on set filming intense action sequences. High performance, yet stylish, luxurious, and modern, Carl F. Bucherer watches are ready for anything – a natural fit for a film like John Wick: Chapter 2. As a brand ambassador I was proud to wear my own Carl F. Bucherer timepiece on set while directing and to the premiere today.”

Carl F. Bucherer’s high-quality, stylish and reliable watches were the perfect companions for the lead, hitman John Wick (played by Reeves), and his antagonist Cassian, played by Common. During the movie, Wick stayed true to form, wearing his trademark Manero AutoDate in steel with white dial and black alligator leather strap, while Winston, played by Ian McShane, also wore Manero AutoDate in steal but with black dial and black strap. Common changed it up and wore the Patravi ScubaTec in steel with black dial.

Watches, cars, guns, stunts and speed all in one movie – who could ask for more? You won’t have to wait long to see it because John Wick: Chapter 2 will debut in theaters on the 10th of February 2017.
