With the release of two very popular models in steel with diamonds and in steel gold with diamonds, the Tank Francaise and the Ballon Bleu, Cartier is spoiling the ladies again!

Up till now, Cartier have not really featured both diamonds and steel in a single watch before, and in the Ballon bleu collection we now see a steel gold version with diamonds on the dial.  The diamonds on the gold bezel of a steel and gold watch is no doubt a breakthrough that makes the more dressy evening models more affordable. And, while we’re on that subject, why wear a watch like this only on special occasions? These models look so classy and down-to-earth, that they can actually be easily worn to the office.

The Tank Francaise dates back to 1996 and is one of those models that was designed with a bracelet. In fact, it was a very comfortable bracelet with a blind closure and very supple links that reminds one of the tank caterpillars from World War II. The dial is lacquered flinqué and set with 11 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.04 carats and the crown is adorned with a synthetic cabochon-shaped spinel. Both models are available in small and medium and both have a quartz movement.

Like the Tank Francaise, the Ballon Bleu has also been an immense succes since its launch in 2006. The collection offers a wide variety of models: different watches for men and woman, models that measure 28mm to 47mm, and a whole range from ultra flat dress watches, to complicated models with tourbillon calibers. The Ballon bleu line is definitely a series of timepieces where everyone can find his choice.

Cartier also recently announced some very elegant ladies models in 28mm with quartz movement and in 33mm or 36mm, both with an automatic movement.

The characteristic steel case has an 18 carat pink gold crown and is set with a synthetic cabochon-shaped spinel, while the dial is lacquered silver finished, 12 zone flinqué decor and set with 11 brilliant cut diamonds.

Both collections have been enhanced with some very beautiful feminine watches, that will make many hearts beat faster.
