Cartier’s Tank Anglaise Steel on Steel, will arrive in the Boutiques this week!

While it is only a few weeks that Cartier’s Tank MC arrived in the Boutiques and AD’s, the masculine Tank will face some competition from it’s brother the Tank Anglaise. The Tank Anglaise was released in gold in November 2012 and followed up by the very good looking version in steel pink gold.

We did a report that you still can find HERE

But from this week on, the three models of the Tank Anglaise, will be arriving in the Boutique in all steel.
And this is a version after all where, I know, many people have been waiting for. Simple steel, not too flashy and ideal to wear as a daily watch to work and actually anywhere.

The XL version pictured above, is a large watch, but when you can handle a few millimeters more, it will make a perfect watch with great looks. Bold and masculine and powered by Cartier’s In-House caliber the 1904 MC, we know from the Calibre de Cartier watch and from the new Tank MC.

The medium size, is the one I like a lot. It’s a size that’s not too small and certainly not too large.
Ideal to wear with sportswear, but it will also fit under a cuffed shirt in combination with a suit.
The automatic caliber is by ETA, so not the ‘In-House’ Cartier caliber, but a very strong, good and reliable movement, you know from the Santos 100.

This watch will be competition for the Tank MC, I think. Both are very well build and although quite different from each other, the choice might be difficult. I can imagine that the Tank MC will be available on a steel bracelet as well one day, but nothing has been communicated yet.

As cute as the steel/pink gold version, is the small ladies Tank Anglaise in all steel. Beautiful bracelet watch, like the two larger models, but without a date window, showing the classic uncluttered typical Cartier dial, with Roman numerals and therefor actually the most beautiful of the three.

The choice is yours!
Fact is that the Tank collection is stronger than ever and thumbs up that there is so much choice now, when it comes to steel watches in the Cartier collection.
