While at the 2018 Geneva International Motorshow, TAG Heuer took time to announce three new partnerships. The first establishes the watchmaker as the Official Partner, Official Watch Partner and Official Connected Watch Partner of Aston Martin and Aston Martin Racing. Relating to which, the brand has unveiled two timepieces honoring the Aston Martin name.
Next, TAG Heuer will now the Official Watch of the Monaco Top Cars Collection. This furthers the watchmaker’s relationship with the racing universe that exists in Monaco, given that they are already the Official Partner and Official Watch of the Automobile Club de Monaco and the Official Timekeeper of the Monaco Grand Prix.
In commemorating this freshly forged partnership with the Monaco Top Cars Collection, TAG Heuer will add 16 watches to the museum, taken from their own La Chaux-de-Fonds museum’s heritage collection, each carefully chosen to historically align with one of the 16 cars in the collection.
Lastly, TAG Heuer has, also, announced their partnership with Gulf Oil International. In marking this union, TAG Heuer has created the Monaco Gulf 2018 Special Edition, which pays homage to — one, Steve McQueen, who wore the watch in his 1971 film, “Le Mans” and two, the Porsche 917 he drove in said movie that bore the Gulf logo on its sides.
