David Beckham by David Sims, For Tudor
Immortal football (soccer) legend, style icon, UNICEF ambassador and all around superstar, David Beckham continues his work with Tudor, in a fresh addition to the Swiss watchmaker’s ongoing #BornToDare campaign.
Shot and directed by renowned British fashion photographer, David Sims two different images have been announced with Beckham donning two different looks and Tudor watches.
The lead image image features Beckham wearing the Black Bay Bronze on one of the watchmaker’s excellent fabric straps, which was the runaway success story at Baselworld 2016. The second image features Beckham with the Black Bay Fifty-Eight, the “other darling” for the brand at Baselworld 2018, earlier this year.
Beckham’s now been a frontman for Tudor for well over a year. Thus far the relationship is one that seems to have been lauded by both Beckham and Tudor fans. Of course, a large reason why this has been such an organic relationship, is because Beckham, to begin with, has always been known to be a watch collector.
Part of the new visuals created by David Sims, includes a series of videos where Beckham shares about himself as a watch collector and his first Tudor — a vintage piece — that is said to have been through a lot with him. Beckham also speaks intimately, in the series, about his grandfather, his time as England’s Captain and his work with Tudor.
In the meantime, Tudor themselves are having a great year, yet again with the launch of their blockbuster hit, Black Bay GMT and the earlier mentioned, Black Bay Fifty-Eight. On top of that, the addition of Mandarin pop-music superstar, Jay Chou to ranks of Tudor’s ambassadors, has no doubt opened up a new ground of visibility for the brand,
