Dr. Strange Attends Infinity War Premiere Wearing the 2018 JLC Polaris Memovox

On the 16th, in Singapore and then the 17th in Seoul, Korea actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange in the new movie Avengers: Infinity War, attended the two premieres wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Memovox.

When the Polaris collection, inspired by the iconic Memovox Polaris alarm watch from 1968, was introduced during this year’s SIHH, much was made of its sporty yet classic nature, and Jaeger-LeCoultre billed it as the perfect watch for “today’s man of action.”

Or a magician superhero too, I guess.

The model that Cumberbatch chose to wear is the most vintage-inspired of the collection, the limited-edition Polaris Memovox. This 50th anniversary timepiece features the three-crown design for which the Polaris was known. The vintage cues on the dial recall the 1968 original, including its vanilla Super-LumiNova™*, trapezoidal indices mixed with four Arabic numbers – and the triangle in the dial center serving as the alarm indicator.

Look for Cumberbatch to attend the World Premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, April 23rd, 2018. What watch will he make appear on his wrist then?
