Wonder Woman is back and better than ever.
With this year’s Wonder Woman due to hit the big screen on June 2, and this is not your mother’s Wonder Woman.
Starring Gal Gadot, Chris Pine and Robin Wright, this Wonder Woman is all about the famed comic book heroine saving the world. Teamed with Chris Pine (from Star Trek fame), Wonder Woman leaves her Amazonian empire to battle on the side of good in World War I. Tons of action, great period pieces and a bit of romance ensue.
Gadot made her first appearance as Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman, and will also play this role in the upcoming Justice League later this year.
To celebrate this iconic character and to reinforce the launch of the film, GaGa Milano has worked with Warner Brothers to produce a Wonder Woman timepiece.
“Our watches are very particular in design and style, and I wanted to create a special project with superheroes,” explains Ruben Tomella, CEO, GaGa Milano. “So, I contacted Warner Brothers’ consumer products division to start a collaboration with them. They were excited for the project and we decided to start with the Wonder Woman watch. We like the iconic ‘WW’ in stones that characterize the dial. Diana Prince, the Amazonian princess, is stylish and contemporary like our brand, so it really fits We wanted to create something that women can easily wear, something that stands out, yet would still be very stylish.”
GaGa Milano has signed a contract with Warner Brothers that runs until 2020, so look for more superhero-themed timepieces in the future.
“At the moment, we are thinking to do something for the Justice League,” Tomella says. “We want to do something for gents inspired by either Batman or Superman, or even both of them.”
