This August sees London’s Harrods host a storewide celebration themed around unique and hard-to-come-by goods, named, fittingly enough, Rarity.
From Belgian albino caviar to one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s personal Goyard trunks, the carefully curated collection offers Harrods customers the chance to acquire some truly remarkable items.
Naturally, watches have been given a prime role, with standout pieces including: a Hublot MP-05 LaFerrari with green sapphire crystal case, a H. Moser Perpetual Calendar finished with a green cloisonné enamel hunter case (instead of the usual blue), the stone-set lacquered gold Harry Winston New York Complication Clutch with its hidden-clasp-watch, and a rose gold Piaget Altiplano with malachite marquetry dial.
The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice a green theme emerges in many of the timepieces on offer — a reference to Harrods’ famous livery.
Rarity runs until 16 August.
