Hautlence Adds More Colour To Their ‘Avant Garde’ Series

Last month we did the article ‘Coloured Dials‘ and showed you some past and current examples by the various watch brands. Coloured dials have always been around but during the last years we have seen them more and more.

Hautlence even takes it a step further and adds now more colour to their new HL RQ04 and HL RQ 05 models, not only to the hours, minutes and dots on the upper sapphire dial, no the matching blue and orange goes further and is now also covering the horns, lugs giving the colour on the dial more support.

The blue and orange coating is very hard and strong. While it is different from the black DLC coatings, it has the same hardness and should by no means be considered as- or compared with PVD. The case middle and the back is black DLC coated circular fine-brushed grade 2 Titanium. The bezel, pushbutton and the crown are made in black DLC coated steel.

There are now 5 round models in the Avant Garde series from the chic 18K pink gold HLRQ 01 to the sporty titanium DLC coated HLRQ 03. The new 04 and 05 models are more daring and absolute cool watches for the right person.

What they all share is the 44mm round case, the mechanical retrograde caliber, with 40 hours of Power reserve, that was developed by Hautlence for this series and the three dimensional dial that exists of two glass layers; Upper sapphire dial face: with fixed logo and metallized HAUTLENCE inscription. Transferred polished rhodium-plated metallized, superluminova-enhanced hours, minutes and index numerals; Lower sapphire dial face: shiny rhodium metallization, semi-opaque black area and black DLC-coated area; Hours disc : transparent mineral glass with shiny rhodium metallized hours aperture, semi-opaque black zone and superluminova indexes; Minutes hands : black gold with blue superluminova tip; Connecting rods : hand-chamfered and linear fine-brushed, rhodium-plated.

Of course the glass on both sides of the watch is sapphire. The front is an extra-hard bevelled sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment and on the back of the watch it is sapphire, with a printed HAUTLENCE and “Horlogerie Suisse”.

Expanding the varieties of a certain model will often force people to pick a favorite. Besides the 18K gold version, it will be hard to predict which of these five Avant Garde time pieces will take the lead. Let the battle of colors begin!

The Hautlence HLRQ-04 and HLRQ-05 are priced at EUR 32,400.
