JAKARTA, 30 May 2013 – A leader and a pioneer – Hublot, leading Swiss luxury watch manufacturer sets yet another series of firsts with their premiere event in Indonesia. To kick things off with a Big Bang, Hublot presented a spectacle of their stunning new collection to the Indonesian audience at a private event held at The Foundry, Jakarta on the 23rd of May. Guests at the event were amongst the first after the BaselWorld 2013 to authenticate Hublot’s superlative watch making skills and the brand’s gamut assortment of truly exquisite new timepieces.

An extensive crowd of more than 350 Indonesian distinguished guests gathered at The Foundry to witness Hublot’s latest innovations. The festivities commenced as the guests were treated to an aural and visual feast with entertaining performances that highlighted and characterized Hublot’s philosophy ‘The Art of Fusion’.
HUBLOT GIVES BACK!
In keeping with the good spirit of celebrating the art of fine watch making, an exciting badminton challenge was created to raise money for a local Indonesian charitable organisation, C3 (Community for Children with Cancer).Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, Irwan D. Mussry, President & CEO of Time International, Taufik Hidayat, most celebrated former Olympic Gold Medalist and Indonesian badminton legend, Subhan Aksa highly gifted rally racer and Mike Lewis, Indonesian actor were invited to take up this challenge.
In a unique effort to raise money for charity, each participant was tasked to place the shuttlecock with a badminton racket into various port holes pegged with different monetary values of 10,000,000, 15,000,000 and 20,000,000 Rupiah.The game set the mood for an evening of benevolent philanthropy and Ricardo Guadalupe magnificently presented a cheque of for a total of100,000,000 Rupiah exceeding the original amount that was intended to the charity representative of C3 amidst cheers.
Mr Guadalupe continued, “As part of Hublot’s global philosophy to give back, we are very happy to be in a position to lend support to a charity that is close to the heart of Indonesians.”
Guests at the event had the exclusive opportunity to feast their eyes on the one-and-only US$5-Million Big Bang, which is touted to be the most expensive timepiece presented at Baselworld with a total of 1282 diamonds, more than 100 carats of baguette diamonds, a true expression of extravagance and the dexterous craftsmanship of Hublot. Together with the stunning new 2013 collection, guests were also able to appreciate Hublot’s progressive abilities to create astounding timepieces in its entirety, a rousing showcase of the brand’s superior evolution. This includes:
