Hublot X The Rake Aerofusion Chronograph ‘Molon Labe’ Auction

The Rake’s first collaboration with Swiss watchmaker Hublot, the Aerofusion Chronograph ‘Molon Labe’ straddles both the ancient and the modern in its conception and construction. Named for the rallying cry of the most fearsome fighting force of antiquity, the Spartans, the ‘Molon Labe’ is constructed of bronze and titanium, respectively the metals of antiquity and modernity, paired with straps that evoke the pleasure of Arturo Fuente Opus X cigars. While only available in a limited edition of 25 pieces, an extra special edition of the watch was made – numbered 00 – to be auctioned off to raise money for The Prince’s Trust. Held at the Corinthia in London, guests of The Rake’s founder Wei Koh and Hublot’s Benoit Lecigne raised a glass to the collaboration before the exclusive edition went under the hammer.
