Into the Inferno – Revolution Does Las Vegas, USA

Every year before the Las Vegas watch shows kick off, Revolution USA hosts the “Motorcycles and Musclecars” ride/drive, and this year we went out into the desert. We started out in 100-degree heat in Red Rock Canyon, and up on Mount Charleston, where we stopped for lunch, it was a cool 70 degrees.

Look for the special Vegas-themed photoshoot in our October issue, featuring watches from the ride. Participating brands included Bulgari, Breguet, MB&F, Corum, Mühle Glashütte, Tutima, Longines, Bovet, Hysek, Cuervo y Sobrinos, Ulysse Nardin, CVSTOS, Dietrich, Ralftech, klockers and Dolce & Gabbana.

During the Couture show, we talked with several heads of brands concerning their new products and the US market.

We spoke with Carlos Rosillo, the president of Bell & Ross, who gave his reasons for enjoying Couture and showed us three spectacular new introductions.

We also met the new chairman, president and CEO of Seiko USA, Akio Naito, who talked about Seiko’s long history with dive watches and showed us the new Prospex diver’s watches.

We saw two new introductions to Montblanc’s impressive collection with Sylvain Costof, president of Montblanc, North America.

And, finally, we sat down with Peter Brock, who designed the iconic and revolutionary Shelby Cobra Daytona Coup, and he collaborated with Baume & Mercier on the watch inspired by this amazing car.

In addition to this, we also did a test drive of the new Karma Revero hybrid, pairing it with the Hysek Abyss chronograph, in the spectacular Valley of Fire.
