The Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph isn’t exactly a new watch. We first saw the brand’s beloved dive watch in the form of a chronograph with the Carl Brashear Chronograph Limited Edition. A 43mm, bronze cased Divers Sixty-Five powered by the Oris 771 movement (basically, the Sellita SW510) that was launched in early 2018, in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces.
Needless to say, the Carl Brashear Chronograph Limited Edition was a runaway success. But it wasn’t until April of 2019 that we would see another Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph. This time, it was the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph Bucherer Blue Editions.
Made in partnership with Bucherer, Europe’s largest and leading watch and jewelry retailer, this time the watch was in steel, with its dial and aluminum bezel insert in Bucherer’s signature blue. While this one isn’t a limited edition, it is only available through Bucherer and therefore within the retailer’s territories.
And now, all bets are off, as Oris introduces a regular production model of the Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph. Still in the 43mm steel case, the watch has now been given the Divers Sixty-Five’s signature bronze bezel.
Moving on to the black dial, you have applied rose gold PVD plated hour markers that pair nicely with the various hands given the same treatment. These are all filled with Super-LumiNova in a colorway called Light Old Radium — an old timey shade for sure. The bi-compax layout, thereafter, gives us a running second at 9 o’clock and 30-minute totalizer at 3 o’clock.
Available now, the Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph can be had at a ridiculously well-priced CHF 3,950.
