Cupboards, dressers, nightstands: check ‘em all: To celebrate its 185th anniversary, Longines is launching a search for the UK and Ireland’s oldest Longines watch. The hunt runs from 6 March to 28 May 2016, and customers are invited to share their pictures and stories with the brand across social media.

During the period, weekly highlights will feature “the most engaging stories” on Longines GB’s Facebook page. The company wants to hear about grandparents’ cherished pocket watches, or parents’ treasured wedding gifts, even including pieces that may not be old, but which have stories to tell – like the 1944 Longines watch that belonged to the father of Revolution’s Editor-at-Large.

Entries should be posted with the #oldestlonginesuk and #oldestlonginesie or via the enquiries section on longines.com. Entries can also be submitted at the London boutique or via post to Longines Marketing, B1000 Dockside Road, London E16 2QU.

Once all entries have been collated, there will be a champagne reception at the Longines boutique in London, where the winners with the three oldest entries will be presented with Longines gift bags. The overall winner will enjoy a trip to Longines’ St. Imier museum and factory in Switzerland.
