As part of its exclusive partnership with the world’s most popular band in the history of rock and roll, Raymond Weil is introducing its latest Beatles timepiece, inspired by the album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
This 40mm polished gold PVD timepiece with a special Sgt. Pepper-themed black dial is limited to 3,000 pieces for the world. Powered by a RW4200 automatic movement, this is the first time that a Raymond Weil timepiece has come on a Vegan strap. The case back is smoked sapphire crystal engraved with The Beatles logo and the limited edition number.
The black dial features a relief rendering of the famous drum from the album cover, with yellow gold electroplating forming the outline of the drum, The Beatles logo at six o’clock and a unique index representing the four Beatles at four o’clock.
“This is the third maestro timepiece created as part of Raymond Weil’s limited edition collaborations with The Beatles,” says Elie Bernheim, CEO, Raymond Weil, in an exclusive interview with Revolution.Watch. “Here at Raymond Weil, we are proud to be inspired by three brand pillars: horology, family and music, and as the Sgt. Pepper album is arguably the most famous album by the most famous rock band in the world, it was an easy decision. The legendary Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album is often regarded as the most iconic album in music history – spending 27 weeks at No.1 on the UK Albums Chart and 15 weeks at No.1 in the US – and has inspired music and art across generations. As an independently owned family business influenced by the arts, there are many synergies in this collaboration.”
This limited edition comes in a specially-designed colorful presentation box, emulating the colorful uniforms worn by the band on the album cover.
“We’re Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. We hope you will enjoy the show.”
