A Record Three REVOLUTION Awards For The Swatch Group
Since its inception in 2005, REVOLUTION has honoured the very best of the watch world with its annual awards round-up. Every year, the eagerly anticipated REVOLUTION Awards presents in a range of categories such as Best Men’s Watch, Best Design, Man of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
In 2012, the Swatch Group netted two REVOLUTION Awards — Best Complication for the Blancpain Villeret Traditional Chinese Calendar and Man of the Year for Marc A. Hayek. Last year, the Breguet Reine de Naples “Day/Night” ref. 8998 (Best Women’s Watch), the Jaquet Droz Charming Bird (Revolutionary Watch) won in their respective categories and Mr Hayek once again landed the Man of the Year award, his second consecutive year receiving this title.
The Cité du Temps in Geneva
On Wednesday 22 January 2014, during the week in which journalists, retailers, customers and various participants of the watch industry descended on Geneva to take in the year’s first presentation of horological novelties, Breguet staged an exhibition in the Cité du Temps featuring a number of historical innovations and technically advanced timepieces. At the opening ceremony and cocktail, REVOLUTION presented Mr Hayek with the three awards (one personal award and two for the brands that he heads) in front of an audience of media, Swatch Group executives and other invited guests.

Co-founder and group editorial director of REVOLUTION Wei Koh and editor-in-chief of REVOLUTION Asia Suzanne Wong were on hand to present Mr Hayek with the awards, with REVOLUTION co-founder and CEO Dr Bruce Lee also in attendance. Vice-president of Breguet Jean-Charles Zufferey and vice-president of Jaquet Droz Christian Lattmann received the awards for their respective brands in conjunction with Mr Hayek.
