Saxon watchmaking at its finest; with in-house movements and sensible, if quiet, innovations that realise a fundamentally better wristwatch, in steadfast steps.

Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon

Three major complications live here, each fundamentally improved, and the dial even sports a tachymeter and power reserve indicator without looking cramped. The flyback chronograph’s minute hand jumps for clarity; the tourbillon has a stop-seconds feature for more precise time-setting; and should the watch be stopped for a few days, the pusher at ‘10’ can be used to update all indications at the same time. Manual wind movement with 50 hours’ power reserve. 41.5mm platinum case. Limited to 100 pieces.

Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase “Lumen”

What did we say about steadfast steps… this is a coming together of 2013’s Grand Lange 1 “Lumen” and the following year’s Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase. Parts of the dial is tinted sapphire glass that blocks out most of the light but lets in ultraviolet radiation to charge the lume-coated grand date so they glow in the dark. Just as spectacular is the moon phase disc of sapphire crystal where the moon and no less than 1,164 stars have been cut out by laser so the night sky jumps out courtesy of the luminous material behind the disc. Manual wind movement with moon phase, 72 hours’ power reserve with indicator, 41mm platinum case. Limited to 200 pieces.

Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar

Now in white gold case with grey dial. Self-winding movement with tourbillon (at the back) and perpetual calendar, 50 hours’ power reserve. 41.9mm white gold case.

Lange 1

The 20-year-old Lange 1 got a new movement last year, cased in platinum, pink gold and yellow gold. This year, a new version was showcased, in 38.5mm white gold. Manual wind movement with 72 hours’ power reserve.

Richard Lange Jumping Seconds

The latest addition to the Richard Lange series that was started in 2006 continues the collection’s anchorage in the precision and aesthetic of scientific observation watches. Here, this begins with regulator-style display for clarity, and the stepped movement of the seconds hand over the central subdial, once every second. Precision is further ensured by constant-force escapement, and seconds reset where the seconds hand returns to zero when the crown is pulled. Manual wind movement with 42 hours’ power reserve. 39.9mm platinum case, limited to 100 pieces.
