SIHH 2016 Roundup: Jaeger-LeCoultre

This year is the 85th anniversary of the iconic Reverso, and Jaeger-LeCoultre is marking this milestone with a host of interesting versions of the watch. There aren’t many watches that are still in any company’s collection 85 years on, which makes the Reverso remarkable, and JLC continues to add to the model’s legacy with interesting variations, designs and complications.

The Reverso One is the first modern Reverso designed specifically for women. This new model is available in a number of variations, including the Reverso One Réédition, the Reverso One Cordonnet and the Reverso One Duetto Moon. Of course, all these models feature the reversible case which has become so iconic.

The Reverso Classic underlines the traditional Reverso codes — the Art Deco inspiration, the geometrical proportions ascribing to the Golden Radio theory, the straight Arabic numerals, and more. The Classic is available in three sizes — small, medium and large — and also in Duo and Duetto versions. The Reverso Tribute collection is designed for the watch connoisseur who is looking for special functions and high watchmaking movements in the classic Reverso proportions. The Tribute is only available in hand-wound form and in the Reverso Tribute Duo (two faces) and the Reverso Tribute Calendar, which features a complete calendar with moonphase on one side and a three-hand display with day/night indicator.

Also in the Reverso Tribute collection is the new Reverso Tribute Gyrotourbillon. This limited-edition platinum model (75 pieces) with the mesmerizing Gyrotourbillon, features a completely openworked back dial.

Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled the Atelier Reverso at the SIHH, a special app-based system that allows customers to personalize their new Reverso. In addition to engraving the back of the iconic Reverso, now customers can choose what the back dial of their Duetto or Duo features. Customers can choose between different colors, various dial materials, or even gem-set hour markers or gem-set center dial.

In addition, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced a new collaboration with Christian Louboutin, allowing clients to customize their own watches with a special strap designed by Louboutin specifically to celebrate the Reverso’s 85th anniversary.

The 85th anniversary of the iconic Reverso is worthy of celebration and Jaeger-LeCoultre is doing it in style with a host of Reverso collections and the new Reverso Atelier.
