SIHH 2017: Montblanc Highlights

Share

Under the guidance of Davide Cerrato, Director of Montblanc’s Watch Division, the Hamburg based brand has shown one of it’s strongest collections to date.

This year’s lead range is the rebooted TimeWalker, drawing inspiration from the back catalogue of Montblanc subsidiary Minerva and it’s participation in motorsport.

The new TimeWalker range sees the re-edition of a Minevra Rally Timer dashboard clock from 1966. Called the Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph Rally Timer Counter Limited Edition, it is a 50mm, manually wound, titanium, monopusher chronograph – which can be worn as a conventional wristwatch, used as a desk clock, a stop watch/pocket watch or (as with the original) mounted onto a dashboard.

Produced in an edition of 100 pieces, the multiuse chronograph gives the new TimeWalker range historical context within Montblanc’s collection at large, anchoring it to Minerva’s history.
