Brace yourselves all you watch collectors and enthusiasts of the brand! One of the oldest Swiss watchmaking manufactures in the world, Vacheron Constantin opens a second boutique in Singapore, this time in the heart of the city’s main shopping district on Orchard Road. With more than 2,000 square feet of floor space, the lavish boutique is set to be housed in one of the luxury destination shopping malls – ION Orchard.
The brand’s extensive collection, ranging from the latest to limited edition timepieces, are all available for purchase at the new boutique. Visitors will also be entitled to viewing the world premiere of of exceptional novelties, including Métiers d’Art Hommage à l’Art de la Danse and the new Platinum Traditionnelle timepieces which will be on display. Also featuring exclusively just at the ION Orchard boutique is a presentation of the Maison’s selected vintage timepieces, Vacheron Constantin Collectionneurs. Held in the VIP Heritage Room, the collection will be made available for purchase which is good news for passionate watch collectors to round up their archive of 260-year-old history!
Decorated artistically from head to toe, stepping through their glass-decorated doors will find oneself in a room with custom-made Murano glass chandeliers, natural oak, marble flooring, walnut veneer, and leather showcases, which represent the refined elegance of the outstanding history of the Geneva-based manufacture. In reflection of their dedication to service, an in-house watchmaker will also be present at the new boutique for that exclusive interaction between watchmaker and client.
In conjunction with the soft opening, a special exhibition will be held from the 8-16 of November 2014, located on Level 1, ION Atrium. Titled ‘The Sound of Time’, the exhibit is a dedication to striking timepieces of the Maison’s history. Allow Time itself to take you through a historic range of the brand’s finest striking watches featuring the Skeletonized Gentleman’s minute-repeater wristwatch in 18K pink gold from 1994 to the latest chimes of the Patrimony Ultra-Thin Calibre 1731. This thin slice of wristwatch paradise stores an impressive power-reserve of 65 hours and at 3.28mm, it definitely makes the movement the thinnest, manual-winding minute repeater to date.
